Our Co-Founders

Leilani Fokelau

Co-Founder, Managing Director

Leilani has spent the last decade working in advertising, digital marketing, content production and broadcasting with numerous sectors from South Auckland to Invercargill. With a passion for the economic development of Indigenous communities, Leilani expertise spans digital marketing, creative writing, brand strategy, content production, event management, customer journey design, residential property development, sales and business development. During her time in at property giant Du Val Group, Leilani played a key role in the marketing of a number of successful residential and fundraising projects ranging in GDV between NZ$39m-$110m. This level of commercial experience, paired with a human-centred approach to her work makes Leilani an asset to any strategy.

Sonara Southcombe-Wallace

Ngāti Maniapoto, Waikato-Tainui, Ngāti Mutunga (Taranaki), Ngāti Pākehā

Co-Founder, Chief of Operations

Born in Te Kūiti and raised in Tāmaki, Sonara brings a nuanced understanding of both rural and metro Māori communities. She has spent a decade working across sales, client services, digital marketing, advertising and production at Whakaata Māori (Māori Television) and international production house Screentime NZ. Sonara's repertoire of work is extensive and spans local and international campaigns, events and productions, through to Aotearoa’s largest cultural and sporting events. Sonara's value is evident throughout the broadcasting and production industry, where she is known for her commitment to manaakitanga, whakawhanaungatanga and integrity.
